Letter height visibility chart

When it comes to signs, visibility is paramount. Where a sign is placed and how it is being received (Driving in a car, for example), is a key factor when deciding what content will go on the sign. Have you ever drivin by a nice looking, well designed sign  but found it very difficult to read past the first line or two? Our chart below is a commonly accepted scale of visibilty for certain letter heights.
